Welcome to Fred Olsen Cruise Line

The Fred Olsen Cruise Line is based in Ipswich, England, and is owned Bonheur and Ganger Rolf. Fred Olsen Cruise Line has five cruise ships in its fleet: Balmoral, Boudicca, Braemar, Black Prince and Black Watch.

In January 2008, the newly extended and fully refurbished Balmoral, named after the Scottish home of the Royal Family, rejoined the fleet. Black Watch was refitted in the spring of 2007 and Braemar returned to service in July 2008 following an extension and complete refurbishment. This has added to the choice of destinations and itineraries Fred Olsen can offer its customers.

The fleet sails to destinations all over the world including, North America, the Caribbean, the Amazon, the Canary Islands and West Africa, the Mediterranean, Iberia, Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland and the UK and Ireland.

Fred Olsen ships are known for being large enough for passenger comfort but also intimate which promotes a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The smaller size of the ships also mean they can access ports of call around the world that are not accessible to huge cruise liners.

Fred Olsen offer traditional cruises but also caters for those with special interests. Themed cruises such as The Artsclub and Civilisations Programmes mean customers can enjoy all the benefits of being on a cruise whilst indulging themselves in something they are interested in.
