Fred Olsen Cruises currently have five ships in their fleet. These are Balmoral, Boudicca, Black Prince, Black Watch and Braemar.
All of the ships have undergone some sort of refit, refurbishment or lengthening procedure with the last four years, between 2004 and 2008.
Balmoral, one of the most recent ships to undergo an extension procedure and refurbishment in 2008 is the largest of the five cruise ships and the newest addition to the fleet.
Braemar also underwent a major refit and lengthening procedure in 2008, making her the second largest in the fleet. Her major refit means that she will now feature over eighty passengers’ cabins and suites with their very own balconies.
Black Prince is the smallest and most intimate of the cruise ships and the first of the five ships to undergo refurbishment in 2004.
Sister ships Boudicca and Black Watch underwent their refurbishments in 2006 and 2007 respectively. Meaning all five ships are now up to modern standards for a more comforting cruising experience.
All five of the ships offer an intimate and relaxing cruise experience, travelling to destinations all around the globe, from Africa and the Amazon to the Caribbean and the Mediterranean. The cruises offered vary from mini cruises right the way through to world cruises onboard some of the most elegant cruise ships.
Black Watch is a more formal cruise experience compared to Black Prince and in particular Braemar, although all five of the ships have an element of formality onboard.
