Balmoral

Balmoral is the company’s fifth vessel and first entered service for Fred Olsen Cruises in February 2008 after undergoing an extension and refurbishment. Previously Balmoral was owned by Norwegian Cruise Line Corporation and was known as Norwegian Crown. She was delivered to Fred Olsen Cruises in November 2007 where she underwent work to make her the largest of the five Fred Olsen ships.

Balmoral cruises to some top destinations including Belgium, Norway and Russia, notching up speeds of 20 knots.

Each of the 738 cabins on board are elegant and comfortable, offering an intimate and homely atmosphere for the guests.

Now Balmoral has been extended she can carry 1400 passengers alongside her 471 crew members who provide all guests with world class cuisine and service that is second to none.

Eleven decks high, Balmoral offers a diverse range of onboard activities from spa treatments, shopping trips and beauty treatments to fitness classes, visits to the casino and relaxation by the pool.

Weighing in at 43,537 gross tons she is the largest of the five ships, not just by weight but in length and width as well. She measures in at 218.18 metres long and 28.2 metres wide. Despite her size she still offers an intimate cruising experience, making her popular with the British cruising industry.
